Job Description
Development Manager
Leap29 have partnered with a prominent client that leads utility-scale solar PV, agrivoltaic and battery storage initiatives, backed by a prestigious global investment portfolio.
Our client is searching for a Development Manager to monitor and coordinate the delivery of utility scale Solar and BESS projects from development, through construction and into operation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate project delivery from development to operation
- Act as local representative and point of contact for development partners
- Ensure standards and policies are integrated into projects
- Provide input on project acquisitions
- Administer pipeline of projects including reporting and information flow
- Liaise with partners, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Develop strong relationships with development partners
- Manage specialist third-party advisors
- Identify scope changes for services and onboard new providers
- Evaluate renewable energy project opportunities and conduct due diligence
- Work with Project Delivery team for financial close and construction preparation
- Provide assistance during construction process
- Based in Milan with travel within Italy and occasionally to London and other European destinations.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree in environmental science, engineering, or finance etc
- 6+ years’ experience in Italian renewable energy projects
- Strong track record in project development and delivery
- Deep understanding of Italian renewable energy sector
- Knowledge of due diligence, grid connection, authorisation approvals, market regulation, and local conditions
- Fluent in English and Italian, additional European language skills desirable
