Job Description

Project Manager – 18 – 24 months – Malaysia

Location:                                                      Malaysia

Start Date:                                                   September 2024

Company:                                                    multinational conglomerate that produces fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings. As of mid-2019, it employed 105,000 people in around 2,000.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, and oversee their successful execution.
  2. Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, support, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
  3. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  4. Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client requirements.
  5. Manage project schedules effectively, identify critical path activities, and proactively address schedule deviations to avoid delays.
  6. Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to key stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  7. Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and implement changes in accordance with established procedures.
  8. : Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence, and prepare comprehensive project reports as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on industrial projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as PMBOK, Agile, and MS Project.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
  5. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
