Senior Data Engineer (FinTech) sought after by a leading financial technology company. Their mission is to revolutionize the financial industry by harnessing the power of data and technology to deliver groundbreaking solutions.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and building the data infrastructure of the company, while leading and supporting a team of data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure.
• Leading and mentoring a team of data engineers.
• Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions.
• Implementing best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Optimizing data processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, preferably in the FinTech industry.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms, GCP is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Software development awareness such as CICD, Git, Terraform.
• Knowledge of financial markets and products is beneficial.
• EU work authorization or eligibility to work in the Netherlands .
