Job Description

Site Manager

 

Leap29 are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead efforts in the Italian renewable energy market, specifically focusing on solar PV projects.

My client is an international Solar PV company with multiple global offices. They oversee projects from development and financing, through construction, to operations and maintenance and energy management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive monitoring of construction activity throughout the construction and commissioning phase up to commissioning.
  • Providing positive, clear, concise and transparent reports to the Project Manager.
  • Monitoring and certifying the achievement of construction milestones, testing and commissioning activities and ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements and standards.
  • Supporting the project manager in the evaluation of design or technical changes to the project, as well as the project budget.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation on site.
  • Organize and participate in site meetings with contractors, HSEQ managers and, if required, external site managers, owner's technical consultants and engineers and local authorities and prepare meeting minutes signed by all parties.
  • Maintain relationships with all parties involved in the site, including local authorities, TSO/DSO representatives, consultants and landowners.
  • Supervise, motivate and manage contractors, creating a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position in the solar industry.
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary activities in civil engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, HSEQ, Environmental.
  • Knowledge of national and international technical standards for the construction sector and for photovoltaic systems.
  • EU driver's license.
  • Willingness to learn, work within standardized processes/procedures and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Excellent organizational skills and decision making/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently; ability to prioritize and set goals.
