Leap29 is excited to collaborate with an innovative International Renewables firm seeking a Project Developer to play a key role in overseeing their Solar initiatives.

Operating across multiple global offices, our client is an industry leader specialising in developing solar projects. This opportunity will be based in Lyon.

Within the Project Development team, the Project Developer oversees a group of new solar projects from start to finish. Their duties include obtaining necessary permits, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet technical, environmental, and financial standards.



  • Managing environmental impact assessments
  • Supervising external and internal service providers like ecologists, agronomists, and electricians
  • Facilitating communication among stakeholders such as local authorities and community groups
  • Collaborating with service providers and authorities to design viable projects
  • Preparing thorough building permit applications
  • Representing company in dealings with relevant regulatory bodies
  • Tracking project progress and budget adherence
  • Staying updated on legal and technical developments in the renewable energy sector


  • A master’s degree in engineering or renewable energy
  • 2-3 years' experience in solar photovoltaics
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
  • Versatility and strong organizational skills
  • Technical and regulatory knowledge of renewable energy, especially photovoltaics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Perseverance and dedication to overcoming project obstacles
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English
  • Curiosity about renewables, sustainable development, and agricultural issues
