Senior Piping Engineer

Start: Urgent

Location: Norway, multiple locations (Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger)

Description:

Due to an exciting new partnership between Leap29 and a major Norwegian EPCI company, we are seeking a Senior Piping Engineer with over 5 years Norwegian experience in the Oil and Gas industry. As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and execution of complex piping projects in the offshore oil and gas industry. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material specifications in compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Perform stress analysis and simulations to ensure the integrity and safety of the piping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, relevant regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of piping-related project documentation, including specifications, scope of work, and technical proposals.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve piping engineering processes, tools, and methodologies, aiming to optimize efficiency and productivity.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of Norwegian Piping Engineer experience.
  • Proficiency in using piping design software such as AutoCAD, Plant3D, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites and offshore locations as required.
