Job Description

Leap29 collaborates closely with a dynamic global renewables company based in Europe, with extensive Co-Development networks spanning Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Georgia, and Canada, specifically focused on Solar and Battery Storage initiatives. We're currently seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead Co-Development partnerships, strategy formulation, and North American grid development.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. **Strategic Partnership Development:**

Identify and forge strategic partnerships for co-development initiatives in the solar and energy storage sector.

2. **Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:**

Engage with industry leaders, governmental bodies, and potential stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial projects.

3. **Market Expansion:**

Analyze market trends, identify potential clients, and devise strategies for expanding our presence in the solar and energy storage market. Execute business plans to capture new opportunities and bolster market share.

4. **Project Lifecycle Oversight:**

Manage the entire project lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring seamless execution of co-development projects.

5. **Cross-functional Collaboration:**

Collaborate with diverse teams in Europe and the United States to deliver high-quality solutions exceeding client expectations.

6. **Negotiation and Deal Closure:**

Lead negotiations with potential partners, clients, and investors to secure agreements aligned with our business objectives, driving revenue growth and co-development success.

7. **Land Acquisition Expertise:**

Identify and acquire prime locations for solar and energy storage projects, collaborating with local communities, government agencies, and landowners for sustainable energy development.

8. **Project Development Leadership:**

Oversee the end-to-end project development process, guiding projects from conception to realization.

9. **Grid Connection Optimization:**

Navigate the complexities of grid connection procedures and North America Interconnection requirements. Develop strategies for efficient and reliable delivery of clean energy to communities.

10. **Regulatory Compliance:**

Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure smooth navigation of the permitting process.

Qualifications:

- Proven track record in business development and project development, specifically within the solar and energy storage industry.

- Demonstrated success in managing solar and energy storage projects.

- Experience overseeing Co-Development partnerships aligned with company missions.

- Project management experience, strategic thinking, and results-driven mindset.

- Experience in originating a pipeline of Co-Development projects.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
