My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in France, focusing on managing projects and financing contracts for renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of contracts, agreements, and financial arrangements related to Solar PV Wind projects.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of project contracts, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, financing agreements, and other project-related legal documents.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, project management, and engineering, to ensure alignment on contract terms, scope, and objectives.
• Manage and oversee the contract administration process, tracking contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations to ensure timely execution.
• Identify potential risks and issues within contracts and agreements and work proactively to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards within contract and financial arrangements.
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of contracts, including budget tracking, payment schedules, and performance guarantees.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to support successful contract execution and project financing.
• Provide timely and accurate contract-related reporting and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices related to contract management within the renewable energy sector.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and strategies, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or Engineering. MBA graduate preferred.
• Proven experience in contract management, negotiation, and administration, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting contract management within the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and potential improvements within contract management processes.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in both English and French.
