My client is seeking a motivated and experienced Development Manager to join their team in Paris, focusing on the management and successful execution of large-scale Solar PV, Wind, and Storage (BESS) projects within the renewable energy sector.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project development processes, renewable energy technologies, and regulatory frameworks, along with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development of Solar PV, Wind, and Storage (BESS) projects from inception to execution, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, legal, and regulatory affairs to drive project development progress.
• Identify and assess potential project sites, conducting feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and site suitability analyses.
• Engage with local authorities, landowners, communities, and relevant stakeholders to secure necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.
• Develop and manage project budgets, financial models, and investment analyses to ensure projects remain economically viable and attractive to investors.
• Oversee the negotiation of contracts, agreements, and power purchase agreements (PPAs) to facilitate project financing and off-take agreements.
• Monitor and mitigate project risks, including technical, regulatory, environmental, and financial aspects.
• Provide regular project status updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and policy changes impacting renewable energy project development.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, mentoring and guiding junior team members to achieve collective goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and managing large-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on Solar PV, Wind, and Battery Storage (BESS).
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development lifecycle, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Strong network within the renewable energy industry, including relationships with regulatory authorities, local communities, and industry partners.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within a dynamic environment.
• Financial acumen, capable of conducting investment analyses, developing financial models, and assessing project feasibility.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and preferably French.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior professionals.
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and address project-related challenges effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software, financial modelling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to travel as required.
