Description:

 

A global EPCI client of Leap29 are searching for a Senior Automation Engineer on a contract basis, with at least 5 years Norwegian experience. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions for complex engineering projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the design and development of automation and control systems for EPCI projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
  • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate automation options and make recommendations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation, including functional design specifications, control narratives, and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during system commissioning, startup, and operation phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and control systems.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Automation Engineering role.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in Norway/ Norwegian Continental shelf.
  • Masters or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field.
  • English written and spoken.
