Python Backend Developer is required for a market leading Data & Cloud specialist consultancy who make data technically accessible across their client network. This exciting opportunity is based in the popular Amsterdam location. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining large scale systems that collect data and develop state-of-the-art data platforms or machine learning applications.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the end-to-end product delivery, from early idea to a maintainable and scalable product.
• Collaborating with the team of Software Developer, Data Engineers & Data Scientist to ensure a smooth-running data operation.
• Partnering with product managers to explore new ways to add value to our products.
• Designing, specifying, and driving improvements to the systems: constantly thinking how can we do this simpler, faster, and more efficient?
• Developing a sixth sense for technical debt, operational risk, and data quality
• Estimating, planning, and executing projects together with the team

Requirements:

• Fluent in Dutch & English Language
• BS/MS in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of Software Development experience (Python)
• Experience with Software Testing and Test-Driven Development.
• Knowledge of methods such as Agile, Scrum and DevOps: CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• RESTful API and Microservices.
• Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
