Job Description

Leap29 are working closely with a top tier renewable energy company, with a strong presence across North America. They are currently looking for a Commercial Lead to join their Off-Shore wind domain. The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial/contract role particularly related to the Off-Shore energy industry.

The commercial lead will play a key role in the company, contributing to the success of solutions for offshore wind and Carbon Capture and storage development. They will be responsible for identifying business prospects, creating detailed proposals, exploring new opportunities, and driving the company's growth.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Take charge of the proposals and tender responses.
  • Adhere to HSE policies, training requirements and processes outlined in the HSE Management System.
  • Work jointly with the OWF and CCS Business Development and Sales departments.
  • Lead collaborations with the Acquisition Sales departments to devise winning proposal strategies.
  • The role entails overseeing the interfaces and Acquisition, operations, and supporting functions to ensure the submission of well-positioned, high-quality bids in a timely manner. The objective is to increase bid win rates, backlog, sales revenues, and margins.
  • Take the lead in customer contract negotiations.
  • Effectively manage workload, delivery dates and bid development schedules to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Oversee the analysis of tendered RFI/RFP documents after the proposal stage.
  • Contribute to the development of processes, new tools, processes, and standardized bids and RFI materials to expedite review cycles and minimize bid errors.
  • Apply insights gained from previous projects to improve the quality of propositions and project execution.
  • Establish, record, implement, and provide ongoing support for enhancing the proposal process.
  • Measure key performance indicators related to bid quality and schedule performance.
  • Aid the collection of client assessment and conduct a review process post-tender.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree relevant subject
  • Possesses significant and pertinent experience in the offshore energy industry, with a particular advantage in seismic acquisition operations.
