About the Role
Our client is on the hunt for a dynamic Principal Process Engineer to join their mission in transforming the energy sector. Based in the vibrant city of Aberdeen, you’ll be part of a top-tier team of over 30 process engineers, all committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in early-stage process engineering. From concept development to operational troubleshooting, you’ll play a key role in delivering practical solutions and driving the decarbonisation of oil and gas production.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll:
- Lead the Charge: Take the helm on studies, managing projects independently while staying within schedules and budgets.
- Be the Face of Innovation: Present your groundbreaking work to clients through engaging reports and presentations, both virtually and in person.
- Variety is the Spice of Life: Dive into diverse projects ranging from process optimization and production efficiency to cutting-edge carbon reduction schemes and new energy sources.
- Mentor and Guide: Oversee and develop junior engineers, shaping the next generation of process engineering talent.

What We're Looking For
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with honors or equivalent.
- Likely Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent.
- Significant experience in the Oil and Gas industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
- Proficiency in feasibility or concept selection.
- Skilled in using HYSYS/UniSim for process simulations and technical report development.
- Excellent coordination, monitoring, and supervisory skills.
- Strong cost awareness and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- A team player with a knack for multitasking and understanding industry codes and standards.
