Job description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Engineer with EPC or EPCM experience in the Gas, Oil Refinery or LNG plant industry. The candidate must be a UK resident.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Providing technical expertise on HSE matters to the project team, including design engineers, construction personnel, and operations staff.
Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses, identifying and evaluating risks and hazards, and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
Reviewing and approving project designs, plans, and procedures for compliance with HSE requirements.
Conducting audits and inspections of construction sites, facilities, and operations to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Investigating and analyzing incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Developing and delivering HSE training programs for project team members and other personnel as required.
Liaising with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of HSE engineering experience in the Gas, Oil Refinery or LNG plant industry.
Experience in EPC or EPCM projects is required.
Knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and industry standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
UK residency is mandatory.
