Job Title: Planning Engineer (Contract Basis)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPC or EPCM projects and possess extensive experience in gas plants, oil refineries, or LNG plants. The candidate should have expertise in Primavera P6 system and experience in creating and managing 30, 60-day look-ahead plans. The role will be responsible for working closely with the Project Controls Manager (PCM) and the project team to ensure that project schedules are developed and maintained to ensure timely completion of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Develop 30 and 60-day look-ahead plans and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Monitor and control the progress of the project and identify any schedule deviations or issues that may impact the project timeline.
- Work with the project team to develop recovery plans to address any schedule delays or issues.
- Analyze project data and performance trends to identify areas of risk and opportunity and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Ensure that all project schedule requirements are met, including project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables.
- Work with the project team to ensure that project schedules are properly integrated with other project controls systems, such as cost control and risk management.
- Provide regular schedule reports to the project team and management, including schedule status, progress reports, and forecasting.
- Support the PCM with project planning, scheduling, and control activities.
- Ensure that all project schedule data is accurate and up-to-date in the Primavera P6 system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EPC or EPCM projects, with experience in gas plants, oil refineries, or LNG plants.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 system.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- UK residency is required.
