Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all Contract Management and Administration activities, including but not limited to measurement and valuation of works for fixed price, open book, and target cost projects, interim payment assessments, assisting Project Controls in invoice preparation to the customer, payment audits, analysis and report writing, development and application of construction cost estimating for changes during the construction/commissioning, and use of Microsoft Excel to develop data collection, costing, and estimating spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and value works for fixed price, open book, and target cost projects.

• Prepare interim payment assessments.

• Assist Project Controls in invoice preparation to the customer.

• Conduct payment audits.

• Develop and apply construction cost estimating for changes during construction/commissioning.

• Collect, collate, and analyze construction cost data using asset management hierarchies and statistical analysis techniques.

• Conduct analytical auditing and benchmarking of construction costs and prepare reports, including in-house auditing and reporting.

• Respond to Sub-contractor Claims.

• Negotiate and settle final accounts and subcontractor accounts.

• Prepare claims, negotiate, and resolve disputes.

• Train Project team members on relevant contract terms and conditions with particular reference to the management of change.

• Assist Sub-contract Manager/Procurement Manager in preparing the commercial part of the RFQ for construction contracts.

• Assist Sub-contract Manager/Procurement Manager in commercial bid evaluation of the construction contractor bids.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in construction or related industries.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in the use of Microsoft Excel for data collection and analysis.

• Knowledge of asset management hierarchies and statistical analysis techniques.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

• Ability to adapt to changing situations and work under pressure.

• Experience in managing contracts and subcontractors.
