I currently have a role available for a site based Civil engineer with a client who specialise in Petrochemical and Chemical projects with the aim to bridge the gap between the office and site-based teams. The client is based in Rotterdam and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The position available is on a 12-month contract.

Key skills for this role include:

• You have experience on brownfield projects in both steel and concrete
• Your background is in engineering, within the petrochemical industry
• technical support on activities like the site preparation, demolition & installation works, piling, concrete works
• Review and resolve all technical queries form the office engineering team
• Have a fantastic work ethic and enjoy working under pressure

Key requirements for this role include:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering qualification.

• Candidates shall be (or become) VCA VOL certified
• Flexible for travelling and in possession of a valid driving license.
• 10 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, commissioning of industrial buildings and structures;
• Mandatory Dutch and English
• In-depth knowledge of the Dutch Building regulations “Bouwbesluit”, soil remediation, structural safety (e.g. CE) and fire proofing safety aspects.
