I currently have a role available as Civil project engineer. The client specialises in Petrochemical and Chemical projects. The client is based in Madrid/Antwerp and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible who is willing to travel for this role when needed. The position available is on a long-term contract.

The key skills needed for this role are:

• Work closely with the FEED contractor to ensure all civil engineering issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Provide oversight and guidance to all FEED contracts and other 3rd party vendors on civil engineering design work
• To ensure that a detailed review of all FEED contractors and vendors Is done for all civil aspects
• Provide input on the preparation, review, and approval of contractor/vendor pre-qualification, Purchase Requisitions
• Provide input into tender clarification/evaluation, contractor/vendor selection and contract/purchase order negotiation and placement

Requirements for this role include:

• Degree qualified in a appropriate engineering discipline
• More than 15+ years’ experience in an engineering role either in oil and gas or petrochemical, operation experience in previous role would be hugely advantageous
• Knowledge of the Belgium laws within engineering
• Willing to travel
• Good verbal and written skills in English
