Mechanical Engineer, Manifold & Foundation Products

Rate: Negotiable based on experience level

For one of our subsea EPCI clients in Kongsberg, we look to make the addition of a contract Mechanical Engineer; to focus on Manifold and Foundation Products on projects globally, but mainly on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

At present the correct candidate will have over 2 year of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience, a background in CAD tools such as NX, as well as project knowledge of Manifolds / Structures.

Unfortunately, we are unable to secure sponsorship for this role, so a successful candidate will need to have the right to live and work in Norway unrestricted.

Whilst challenging, this contract role will provide the opportunity for a relatively junior engineer to gain exposure on flagship North Sea projects and progress within the business on a renewable contract basis with permanent opportunities in the future.

But what do they want from you?

They want to strengthen the flow control team with Mechanical engineers on Manifold and Foundation products:

Key Deliverables:

• Understand and follow up the customer requirements
• Perform concept design, stack up and interface verification
• Deliver drawings and documentation for fabrication and deliver user documentation
• Support global engineering centers to execute engineering
• Support manufacturing and fabrication activities, where required
• Support strength calculations, when required

Background:

• BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Have 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience with CAD tools (NX is preferred)
• Experience on Experience on Manifold or Structural products and documentation is an advantage
• Exposure to Structural or Finite element analysis is an advantage
• Exposure to industrial standards like ISO, DNV, NORSOK
